Semi-automated Saflex™ tube lancers can save 12 hours per bundle vs. manual cleaning, and our automated system save even more time. NLB offers flexible and rigid lance systems, including fully-automated, multiple-lance models in a range of operating pressures.

We also have systems for cleaning tube bundle exteriors. NLB shellside cleaners feature robot-mounted jets that blast product off the bundles as they rotate.

All systems require one of NLB' s reliable high-pressure pump units, p to 600hp.

Rigid Lance Systems

NLB offers four rigid lance systems with configurations to suit your needs. Choices include 1 to 3 lances, operating pressures from 10,000 to 40,000 psi (700 to 2,800 bar), and optional lance rotation.

The ATL-5000 cleans tube bundles three times faster than manual methods and sets new standards for operator comfort and protection. An adjustable lance stroke allows the system to be configured for bundles of various lengths, up to 30 feet (98.4m).

Each of the five rigid lances has a specially-designed nozzle to deliver high-pressure water (up to 20,000 psi, or 1,400 bar). A powerful hydraulic drive inserts the lances at a rate of 39" (1m) per second, then withdraws them so they can be positioned to clean the next five tubes.

All movements (in/out, up/down and left/right) are controlled from a convenient overhead station, which gives the operator excellent visibility at a safe distance from the action. Options include HVAC in the station and a bundle rotation package.

NLB Shellside Waterblasting systems make exterior heat exchanger cleaning much more productive. High-pressure water jets (up to 10,000 psi, or 700 bar) clean automatically from one end of a tube bundle to another.
