NLB Waterjet Solutions - Water Jet Applications

	Hydrodemolition, which uses water jets to break up concrete, is a popular alternative to jackhammering. Its advantages (faster removal rates with less noise, less dust and less damage to rebar and sound concrete), are improving bridge deck and parking deck renovation projects all over the country.

	NLB's Concrete Buster® is a programmable, self-propelled robot that makes hydrodemolition simple. It blasts away unsound concrete at up to 20,000 psi (1,400 bar) and cleans the rebar to leave a good bonding surface for new concrete.

SPIN JET® carriage is programmed for the number of transverse passes required for the chosen depth of cut and the compressive strength of the concrete.
High-pressure water is supplied from an NLB 250-to-600 hp, 20,000 psi pump unit.
SPIN JET action provides optimum concrete removal productivity and rebar cleaning.
Diesel-powered Concrete Buster robot is programmed to automatically advance after each pass.

	X-Y Axis Concrete Cutters remove unsound concrete from vertical or horizontal substructures and surfaces; e.g., bridges, dams, building fascia, pier caps, and parking garages. The NLB 4000 and NLB 4500 units mount to the arm of a backhoe or excavator for mobility and positioning. Their rotating water jets cut up to 4 feet (1.2 m) along the X axis and 3 feet (0.9 m) along the Y axis, using water pressure of 13,000 to 20,000 psi (900 to 1,400 bar).
