What's A Water Jet System?

What is a high pressure water jet and what are some of the uses for a water jet? Once you learn about the uses for a high pressure water jet system where do you obtain water jet equipment?

A water jet is highly pressurized stream of water. Using high pressure pumps, water is carried through a tube to a precious stone water jet nozzle where the water is emitted in a stream that is highly controlled and accurate.

Water jets have many different uses. Water jets are used in highly diverse applications. Some are used for cleaning heavy duty equipment by sending pressurized water streams through single or multiple heads. Each water jet cleaning application will take into account the area to be cleaned and the overall strength of the materials to be cleaned. As an example a home pressure washer is actually a form of a water jet. So too is the device that is used to clean between your teeth. For the cleaning applications that we manufacture water jets, most are industrial in nature. therefore the water jet pumps and equipment that we manufacture produce a much greater water pressure to clean some of the toughest applications. Needless to say, if you were to use our high pressure industrial water jets on your wooden deck or on your teeth, well, neither one would stand up to the water jet pressure. However, if you need to clean something like a rail car, or a paint booth or paint booth equipment, you would require the types of water jets that we produce. Water jet equipment can also be used for cold cutting or hydro demolition. Using highly pressurized water jets, you are able to make intricate cuts through some of the hardest or even the softest materials around. Using computer controlled water jet equipment, many of some of todays most common products are cut using water jets. By using water jets for cold cutting, you will realize cost savings due to precision cuts and unwasted materials.

Contractors are also realizing cost savings by using water jets for hydro demolition. An example of cost savings using water jet hydro demolition would be bridge repair. Using water jets for cutting away old concrete, reduces stress on the surrounding concrete that would be applied if you cut away the section using a jackhammer. You would also be able to remove the section without disturbing the internal steel support. Thus, saving money in the repair from undue concrete replacement or structural replacement. Plus, the savings are not just limited to material costs. The labor savings quickly add up too.

We've only presented a few of the uses for water jets here.
