From ships to internal and external tank cleaning, magnetic crawlers are an ideal water jetting solution for cleaning vertical surfaces. Using magnetic force, the lightweight aluminum crawler holds on to treatable steel surfaces. These magnets are enclosed in seawater-resistant stainless steel, and have a high adhesion force, which combats water pushback forces. This allows high-pressure water (up to 40,000 psi/2,800 bar) to really perform.
Two drive units are integrated into the magnetic crawler carrier vehicle. The electric drive enables a fully adjustable drive speed, all controlled remotely. Remote cutting, blasting, and inspection work are easily achieved with a magnetic crawler but are merely a glimpse of the many applications this system can be used for. With a versatile range of arms, cleaning heads, conversion sets, wastewater filter systems, vacuum recovery units, and other attachments, the magnetic crawler can be truly customized to your job’s needs.
