Wixom, Michigan: NLB Corp., a global water jet industry leader celebrating 50 years in business, will open a new headquarters in Wixom, Mich. December 22. The 170,000-square-foot facility, only a few miles from the company’s current headquarters, will combine all its Michigan operations — sales, parts, service, manufacturing, engineering, and rentals (currently in Novi, Mich.) — under one roof.
“This move will help us build on NLB’s success of the past 50 years and better serve our customers in the water jetting industry,” said Drew Waltenbaugh, NLB president and CEO. “Bringing our Wixom and Novi operations together in this new, larger building will improve efficiency and better position us for continued growth.”
NLB has played a key role in the growth and diversification of the water jet industry since its founding by Forrest Shook in 1971. Its high-pressure (up to 40,000 psi, or 2,800 bar) pumps and accessories are widely used around the world in many different applications, most notably product removal and surface preparation. The company began operating from its present Wixom facility in 1978 and has expanded it several times. NLB has been part of the global Interpump Group S.p.A. since 2007.
