NLB’s new Mini Automated Remote Manipulator (Mini-ARM™) lets an operator manipulate a variety of water blasting tools from a remote control that is able to be operated either wired or wireless. This not only provides more protection by completely removing the operator from the water blasting zone. Utilizing Mini-ARM™ automated water jetting reduces downtime and expense. The operator uses convenient joystick controls to position the tooling and then start and stop the flow of high-pressure water.
With the Mini-ARM™, operators won’t experience the fatigue that can affect the quality of manual water jetting. Semi-automated water jetting produces more consistent results than individual operators with different techniques or skill levels.

What pump specifications does the Mini-ARM™ support?The Mini-ARM™ can be used with pump units up to 300 hp and 40,000 psi, making it suitable for a wide range of demanding industrial cleaning applications. When paired with a Model 305 pump unit (NLB 225 Series), the Mini-ARM is capable of 40,000 psi operation.
How far can the operator be from the unit during operation?The system’s hand-held remote package allows a single operator to control the Mini-ARM™ from up to 700 feet away, improving safety by keeping operators clear of the active water jetting zone.
What are the reach and movement capabilities of the Mini-ARM™?The mechanical arm provides a 10-foot horizontal reach and a 9’5″ vertical reach, with a full range of motion and boom swing capabilities of 55° to the left and 60° to the right.
What makes the Mini-ARM™ ideal for confined or difficult environments?Its compact size allows it to fit through a standard doorway, and it was specifically engineered for use in limited-space environments or areas where manned water jetting poses safety risks.
