We have a immediate openings for full-time CNC Machine/Set-up Operators at our Wixom, MI headquarters. The ideal candidates will meet the following requirements:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION CNC MAZAK INTEGREX SETUP/OPERATOR:

  • Must have 2+ years programming/operating Mazak Integrex Lathes with Fusion/Matrix/Smooth control.
  • Must be able to interpret prints with GD&T.
  • Able to perform setups in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to setup gauging and use basic inspection equipment to verify print specifications.
  • Provides feedback to leaders if need to improve manufacturing process
  • This position is responsible for setting-up, programming and operating a Mazak Integrex Mill Turn work center.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION FOR HAAS TL-2 LATHE SETUP/OPERATOR:

  • This position is responsible for setting up, programming, and operation of a HAAS TL-2 lathe.
  • Must have 2+ years with HAAS TL-2 Lathe.
  • Must have 2+ years G&M programming experience.
  • Interprets blueprints and guide sheets
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Able to perform setups in a timely fashion.
  • Provides feedback to leaders if need to improve manufacturing process
  • Uses standard measuring devices as needed (calipers, micrometers, gauge pins etc.)
  • Ability to setup gauging and use basic inspection equipment to verify print specifications.
  • Conducts basic inspection according to inspection sheet to meet client specifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION FOR SWISS LATHE SETUP/OPERATOR

  • Must have 2+ years with Swiss Lathe/Citizen brand preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must have 2+ years programming experience.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Ability to setup gauging and use basic inspection equipment to verify print specifications.
  • Live tooling experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Citizen L20 XII a plus.
  • Able to perform setups in a timely fashion.
  • Provides feedback to leaders if need to improve manufacturing process
  • Gibbs cam experience a plus.
  • This position is responsible for setting up, programming, and operation of a Citizen Swiss lathe.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS OF ALL CNC MACHINE SETUP/OPERATORS:

  • Must be able to interpret prints with GD&T and understands shop math.
  • Ability to read measuring tools (Micrometers, Calipers, etc.)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is a plus.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Due to social distancing requirements, must be able to work a flexible schedule including day shift, afternoon shift or night shift.
  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime as necessary including Sunday through Friday nights.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical including drug screen.
  • A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Able to follow directions and work well with others

Positions require a strong mechanical background, excellent customer service attitude and preferably experience with water blast pumps. The Service Department’s ultimate goal is to provide NLB and its customers with world-class service.

Requirements for Service Technician:

  • The ideal candidate should have good mechanical knowledge and skills. Any experience in hydraulics, basic electrical or pneumatics is desired.
  • Must be able to read schematics/blueprints for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to meet customers’ requirements and utilize NLB equipment within design specifications.
  • Must be able to develop skills in technical service, troubleshooting, and training customers with hydro blast pumps and accessories in a safe, professional manner.
  • Must be willing/able to travel, work overtime and take weekend/off hour calls to perform service duties.
  • Must excel in customer relations and communication to customers both internal and external.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift.
  • Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license (insurable) and a good driving record to be able to perform the job.
  • Must be able to obtain a CDL driver’s license.
  • Must have own hand tools.
  • Must pass a pre-employment DOT physical including drug screen.
  • Must have minimum of high school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.

NLB Corp. is accepting applications for a Mechanical Design/Project Management Engineer at our world headquarters in Wixom, MI.  This position is responsible for managing the design, production, testing, and delivery of customer orders; and, for developing products, product modifications, and product components for commercial sale. These products include high pressure water pump units, ancillary equipment, and accessories or tools designed for applications. The design process includes component selection, design of components, weldments and assemblies. The engineer is a core team member working with all other groups at NLB Corp.

Areas of Focus: Incumbent's responsibilities will focus on the following:

  • Designing high pressure water pump skids and trailers, ranging from 60 to 1,000 HP. These skids are powered by electric motors or diesel engines
  • Project management of customer orders, including creating, updating and maintaining Bills of Materials for any design, and interaction with the Operations and Service groups for on-time execution
  • Comfortable with handling multiple priorities and project schedules typically a few weeks to a month or two
  • Product and component redesign for quality improvement, performance improvement, or cost reduction

Level of Responsibility:

  • Project management from receipt of order to on-time delivery to the customer.
  • Managing multiple projects and timelines while elevating any conflicts or roadblocks for resolution.
  • Product maintenance /sustaining work related to obsolescence, cost reduction, & error correction.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A BSME degree is required
  • 8+ years experience in a related role is required
  • Project Management experience is required
  • Experience in generating, maintaining and updating product Bills of Materials is desired
  • Experience with machine design, including structural design, assemblies, subassemblies, weldments, and components is highly desired
  • Industrial Automation experience is desired
  • A Professional Engineering license is a plus.

NLB Corp., has an immediate day shift opening for an experienced Service Mechanic at our Crown Point, IN Branch location. Position requires a strong mechanical background, excellent customer service attitude and preferably experience with water blast pumps. The Service Department’s ultimate goal is to provide NLB and its customers with world-class service.

Requirements for Service Technician:

  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years' experience in the troubleshooting and repair of engines, pumps, or heavy equipment.
  • Responsible for repair and maintenance of high-pressure pumps and equipment in our varied product line.
  • Experience in hydraulics preferred.
  • Must use mechanical knowledge, while following NLB procedures to service, repair and test NLB equipment.
  • Must be able to debug problems during start up and operating using mechanical knowledge.
  • Must excel in customer relations.
  • Must be willing/able to work mandatory overtime including after hours and weekends as required.
  • Must be willing/able to travel domestically, sometimes overnight on short notice to perform service duties at customer sites.
  • Must have a valid Indiana Operator’s license and a good driving record (insurable) to be able to perform the job.
  • Must have your own hand tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift.
  • A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical including drug screen.
